If you are coming from the north, take the A 61 from Koblenz and continue till you reach the “Emmelshausen” motorway exit. Then take the B 327 and continue to the exit for Sohren. Head towards Weiden, passing through Laufersweiler, Gösenroth, Rhaunen and Hottenbach.

If you are approaching from the south, take the A 61 from Mannheim or Frankfurt towards Bad Kreuznach. Taking the B 41 continue as far as Fischbach. Just before Idar-Oberstein, turn right and join the bypass which takes you past Fischbach, Niederwörresbach and Herrstein. After Herrstein, take the second exit on the right to Weiden.

Directions from Frankfurt-Hahn airport: The journey to Weiden takes 20 minutes and goes via Sohren, Laufersweiler, Rhaunen, and Hottenbach. There are also bus links to Hahn airport from Luxembourg, Cologne and Frankfurt.

There is a bus route connecting Idar-Oberstein and Frankfurt-Hahn which passes through Weiden. You can connect to national and international train routes from Idar-Oberstein main station.
