“Do as you would be done by!”
for us that maxim applies to for humans, animals, plants and insects.
So that all guests can enjoy a pleasant stay at our holiday centre, we ask that you observe certain rules. We have found it helps to set these out clearly!
1. We would remind parents and carers that they do not relinquish responsibility for their children when they come to the Ferienhof.
We ask that you do not leave your children unsupervised near the ponds or the stream. Children are not able to recognise or anticipate potential danger. Please also supervise your children while they are in the play barn.
2. Please treat our animals with kindness and consideration.
As some of our animals are free-roaming, we ask you to ensure that all gates are kept shut. Please do not feed the animals (it causes the animals to squabble) and always show them respect. Guests are permitted to sleep in the stables.
If you are interested in pony rides or in helping to care for the animals, please talk to us first.
3. We also ask that you take care with our furniture, fittings and equipment. This includes the hay hostel and the conservatory and covers outside areas too.
Take good care also when using vehicles and play equipment!
Responsibility for this lies with the parents or group leaders in charge. Any DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY, in particular damage to hired items or fixtures and fittings, which has been caused deliberately or through negligence by an individual or a member of his/her group, that person will be LIABLE FOR THAT DAMAGE. In the case of harm being inflicted on an animal, the perpetrator will be liable for any vet’s fees and treatment costs which may arise.
4. Please observe quiet times.
Group leaders/parents must ensure that there is quiet after 10 pm on the farm and in all outside areas. Guests in the conservatory must keep the noise to a minimum after midnight so that guests (particularly those sleeping in the hayloft) and local residents are not disturbed
5. For self-catering guests, school and youth groups:
At our holiday centre (in the conservatory) we offer school, kindergarten and youth groups the opportunity to cater for themselves. Group leaders or responsible individuals should ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to (There are plenty of fridges to keep food cold).
6. Absolutely no smoking or lighting of fires! Smoking is not permitted in the apartments.
Please do not smoke in the conservatory, hayloft, in the hay, the beds, in the barn, the play barn or in the stable. Please dispose of cigarette-ends carefully and use the ashtrays and buckets provided around the farm.
7. We accept no responsibility for lost or forgotten items!
Please take good care of your personal belongings, e.g. lighters, car keys, jewellery, shoes, socks etc. We accept no responsibility for these!
8. On departure,
We ask that the apartments, hay hostel, bathroom facilities and conservatory be swept clean before you leave.
Our self-catering guests staying in apartments or the conservatory should make sure that they leave the kitchen and its contents in a clean condition.
9. Please don’t forget to separate your rubbish!
The apartments, hay hostel, conservatory, meadow, pond, farmyard, stable and the forest are not rubbish tips. Containers and yellow bins are provided and we can let you have plastic sacks and bags for organic waste. If you use these up, just ask us for more!
Failure to comply with these house rules gives the Faust family the right to ask an individual or a group to leave the Ferienhof, irrespective of any monies paid to secure the booking. Any such individuals or groups will not be allowed to book accommodation at the centre in future!!!
We wish all our guests a wonderful, relaxing time with us here in Weiden and we hope you enjoy everything about the Ferienhof: the apartments, hay hostel, conservatory and the beautiful outside areas too!
Thank you for your understanding,
...and best wishes from the Faust family and their team!
